What We Do

We want to change how fashion is created with a new regenerative textile economy supported by bast plant fibres.

Our Mission

This textile economy is based on seeds planted in healthy soil or bio textiles from bast fibre bi-products. Bast fibres are processed and dyed naturally. Fashion products are created from these plant textiles using compatible components like nuts and seeds for trims like buttons.

Join us in creating an ecosystem of growers, processors, brands and seed funders to support this new textile economy.

What We’ve Achieved

  • Talking with growers of Bast fibres to understand where Linen, Hemp and Nettle are grown and the challenges of sowing these plant seeds in the UK and USA where they once proliferated.

  • You may think it's as simple as planting seeds and soon learn these tiny seeds may not be readily available, especially not for commercial use.

  • An initiative has begun in the UK Bast fibre working group to create a Bast fibre seed bank.

  • Seeking Investors who support plant-based projects is the right fit with the regenerative textiles ecosystem.

  • Traditional investing may not account for People, Planet and Prosperity to fully align with these criteria.

  • Creating a botanical education toolkit led to drying bast fibres in the flower press, creating monoprints and solar photography for a craft book, and sourcing temporary tattoos and nail stickers for plants to engage plant knowledge from a wearing and fashion lens.
